Schools and Education Information

Oceanworld Manly's education program offers students from pre-school to year 12 the opportunity to observe and interact with a wide variety of aquatic Australian animals.

Oceanworld is located at the end of a safe harbour beach and is surrounded by a shaded grassy picnic area. Only a short walk from Oceanworld is Fairlight Beach which offers an excellent inter-tidal rock platform displaying a wide variety of marine invertebrates.

Group Information

Oceanworld is open from 10am to 5:30pm every day and School Excursions can be made any time during opening hours. It is recommended that you allow approximately one and a half hours at Oceanworld.

There is no minimum group size, maximum theatre capacity is 250 students.

Payment is made on the day by cash, school cheque or credit card. Students cannot pay individually.

Our interactive educational programs offer students a "hands-on" experience.

Oceanworld's Education Officer is available free of charge to any group of 30 or more students. For smaller groups, this service is available at a cost of $50.

If you have a special interest we can tailor a program to meet your specific needs.

Teachers are encouraged to visit the aquarium before an excursion. Free entry is offered at any time to NSW teachers only on presentation of teacher ID.

Bookings are essential and should be made at least 2 weeks in advance.
